Corriola

This past weekend was too hot to do anything, really. With the first of our proper Summer weather here,  Logan and I chose to mostly sit around inside with all the windows open, drinking Summer Ale and pear cider and reading and languishing in general. Now that uni is over I can finally read for leisure! It's so strange and foreign, I can count the number of books I've actually chosen to read this academic year (as opposed to textbooks) on my fingers and toes, which is a terrible sum for me. Tender Is The Night has waited for me, and certainly rewarded my patience.

Wearing Karen Walker overalls, a vintage blouse from the costume shop sale, floral catseye sunglasses from UO and Cooperative shoes.

A velvet bow I fashioned and pinned into my hair. When it's hot it's near impossible to do anything with my heavy locks! Last summer I used to do a bun on top of my head, but now it's so huge and burdensome I can't handle it. Half of me is tempted to chop it off but the louder half still wants to be Joanna Newsom.

We managed to summon enough energy to make some buckeyes, and they were just as amazing as the recipe promised. They may not look life-changing but I can assure you they are. Like Reese's peanut butter cups but a thousand times more delicious, and not too sickly overwhelming in flavour.

I'm going into the best camera shop ever to have a look at the lovely Olympus Pen EP-1 tomorrow, I'm so excited! One day soon the quality of my photos may improve dramatically!
